dk Engineering enjoyed volunteering at the Monument Crisis Center which is a community-based non-profit family resource center for Central and East Contra Costa County. The Center offers nutritious food, quality resources and referrals to low-income individuals and families in order to provide them some stability in our community. dk has held toiletry and clothing drives for donation to the center in the past but this was our first opportunity to work in the center with their clients.
Some of our employees spent their Tuesday night working in the Food Room, preparing and distributing food items to program beneficiaries. Matthew and Monica greeted clients, helped load food carts, and sorted produce. While Ben and Millie prepared and packed food boxes with canned and dry foods. It was very rewarding knowing that our hard work was making an immediate impact in our community!
