Having worked at dk Engineering over three decades, Dan’s vast survey expertise and industry knowledge gives him the unique ability to mentor our employees and guide our clients, saving them time and money. As dk’s Vice President and Survey Manager, he is currently responsible for the entire survey department including office and field personnel. Dan manages a variety of projects, such as wind farms, residential, and commercial projects, and is responsible for overseeing key project aspects for dk clients including survey contracts, resolving boundaries, map preparation, supervising his team on construction staking, and preparing legal descriptions. In addition to surveying, he assists the engineering department with his deep insight into construction and building.
Dan is proficient in plane and geodetic surveying procedures, equipment and materials used in surveying and mapping transportation facilities, computers and their applications, principles of communication, supervision, and safety procedures. His years of experience as party chief, combined with his office project skills and his education make him well qualified to manage any project.
Dan is the type of person that you want to work with and be around. He’s friendly, got a great sense of humor, and is very knowledgeable. He enjoys being active by skiing, playing golf, going to the gym almost every morning, and competing in a soccer league with his friends. He also appreciates spending time with his wife, whether it be working on projects around the house, going on trips to Texas to visit family, or traveling to Europe with friends.
