Co-owned by PGE and NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, the Clearwater Wind Project is located about 65 miles Northeast of the Colstrip Coal plant in Montana. The site is approximately 200
square miles with a 100 mile transmission line.
NextEra Energy Resources is constructing the Clearwater Wind project. The wind site will produce 775-megawatts of electricity, of which 311 megawatts will bring emissions-free generation for PGE customers by the end of 2023. The wind farm will provide clean and reliable energy to power about 125,000 customer homes.
The project includes 112 wind turbines manufactured by General Electric Renewable Energy, Inc.
