The Shafter Solar Energy Center project, located in Kern County, began commercial operation in May 2015 with a generating capacity of 20 megawatts of photovoltaic solar energy. The solar farm reduces approximately 40,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions that would be produced if the same amount of electricity is generated using fossil fuels.
Since the project began in 2013, dk Engineering provided topographic survey, boundary survey, ALTA survey, and construction staking services. dk performed tasks such as locating easements, fence staking, and transmission line roads.
